The Bush House

Piscatiqua River Plateau, New Castle N.H. This 6,100 Sq. Ft. 1730s colonial home was completely stripped down to its post and beam shell and had 1768 Sq. Ft. of additional space added on. Almost all of the original floors and fireplace mantels were saved and a three story elevator was built into the new floor plan. The fireplaces were completely rebuilt and replicated from the ground up preserving the existing brick archway in the basement. The garage was blasted out of the side of the hill with a landscaped terrace on top. The third floor ceiling was left exposed showing off the original sheathing and post and beam structure.
